Employment Agreements/Contractual Obligations
Please be advised that the Wage and Hour Bureau does not engage in interpretation of contractual provisions that are in dispute or otherwise require such interpretation. Where you have a signed employment contract/agreement with your employer, AND interpretation of the contract/agreement is required, such interpretation is better addressed in a court of law to determine the contractual obligations of the parties. Aggrieved employees have a private right of action to sue an employer to recover wages, per N.C.G.S. Section 95-25.22(b).
