Mine and Quarry What We Do The Mine and Quarry Bureau enforces the 1975 Mine Safety and Health Act of North Carolina. The bureau provides education and training, technical assistance, and consultations and also helps mine and quarry operators to comply with the provisions of the 1977 Federal Mine Safety and Health Act.
