CFR 187C - Occupational Exposure to Beryllium and Beryllium Compounds in Construction and Shipyard Sectors

PDF • 4.72 MB - December 05, 2022

On September 30, 2019, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) published a final rule (Federal Register) that delays the compliance deadlines for almost all provisions of the beryllium standards for construction (1926.1124) and shipyards (1915.1024) to September 30, 2020 with the exception of the PEL and STEL. OSHA also plans to issue a new proposed rule for these sectors rather than revoking the ancillary provisions of the standards for shipyards and construction (29 CFR 1915.1024 & 29 CFR 1926.1124 - final rule). The N.C. Commissioner of Labor adopted the revised federal rule verbatim with an effective date of February 14, 2020.
