CFR 187D - Occupational Exposure to Beryllium and Beryllium Compounds
On July 14, 2020, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) published a final rule (Federal Register) that amends the existing general industry standard (1910.1024) for occupational exposure to beryllium and beryllium compounds to clarify certain provisions and simplify or improve compliance. The revisions in this final rule are designed to maintain or enhance worker protections overall by ensuring that the rule is well understood, and compliance is more straightforward. The N.C. Commissioner of Labor adopted this rule with an effective date of January 8, 2021.
