On January 15, 2026, OSHA issued an amendment revising paragraph 1910.1200(j)(2)(i) and (ii) and (j)(3)(i) and (ii) of the Hazard Communication Standard. The amendment extends compliance dates by four months. The Hazard Communication final rule was published in the Federal Register on May 20, 2024.

In accordance with 13 NCAC 7F .0101, The N.C. Commissioner of Labor adopted this amendment verbatim with an effective date of June 1, 2026. Refer to the January 15, 2026, Federal Register (Vol. 91, No. 10) for the details related to these requirements.
