PDF • 9.48 MB - January 22, 2025

On October 9, 2024, federal OSHA issued corrections and technical amendments to the Hazard Communication Standard (HCS). OSHA identified several errors in the regulatory text and appendices to the HCS which pertain to the classification of hazardous chemicals and information presented on labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDSs).

The N.C. Commissioner of Labor adopted this final rule verbatim with an effective date of January 1, 2025. Refer to the October 9, 2024 Federal Register (Vol. 89, No. 196) for the details related to these requirements.
