On January 8, 2026, OSHA issued a correction and technical amendment to the Hazard Communication Standard, 1910.1200(c), definitions, 1910.1200(d), Hazard Classification, 1910.1200, Appendices A, B, C, D, and F. OSHA issued this correction and technical amendment to correct inadvertent errors in its Hazard Communication Standard, which could lead to confusion during the classification process or errors on labels and SDSs if not corrected. The Hazard Communication final rule was published in the Federal Register on May 20, 2024.
In accordance with 13 NCAC 7F .0101, The N.C. Commissioner of Labor adopted this correction and technical amendment verbatim with an effective date of June 1, 2026. Refer to the January 8, 2026, Federal Register (Vol. 91, No. 5) for the details related to these requirements.
