Susan Mullins

Susan Mullins serves as executive assistant for the N.C. Department of Labor. Mullins is the gatekeeper to the Commissioner and is responsible for the Commissioner’s schedule and the daily operations of the department.

Mullins came to the N.C. Department of Labor with a wide range of government, constituent service and educational knowledge. Career highlights include four years at the N.C. General Assembly working as a legislative assistant. In addition, Mullins spent 19 years with the Johnston County School System.

Mullins is a native of Robeson County and a daughter of the Town of Fairmont. She is a 1982 graduate of Fairmont High School. Mullins resides with her husband, Dwayne, in Johnston County and has two grown children, Allen and Katie.
