Jennifer Stackpole

Serving as the Chief Financial Officer for the NC Department of Labor, Jennifer Stackpole is responsible for managing and directing financial and business operations for the entire state agency. The NC Department of Labor oversees many regulatory enforcement areas of approximately $48.3 million in total funding, which is a mixture of state appropriated funds, inspection receipts from the public, and several federal grants.

Jennifer has 30 years of service with the State of North Carolina. Prior to her appointment by the former NC Commissioner of Labor (Cherie Berry) in December 2017, she worked extensively in various financial services areas with the NC Department of Health and the Human Services and the former NC Department of Correction. Jennifer holds an associate’s degree in accounting and a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Jennifer is also a native of West Virginia.
