Labor Commissioner Luke Farley, on behalf of the N.C. Department of Labor, recognized Oxford-area employers and employees for exceptional safety records at the annual Safety Awards Banquet held at noon on Thursday, April 24, at Verdigris Restaurant at Oxford Oaks Distillery.

 

“The people of North Carolina did not elect a king. They elected a Governor — and they also elected an independent State Auditor, an independent Commissioner of Labor, and other executive officers, each with their own constitutional executive authority and accountability directly to the people.

Labor Commissioner Luke Farley, on behalf of the N.C. Department of Labor, recognized Roxboro-area employers and employees for exceptional safety records at the annual Safety Awards Banquet held Wednesday evening, April 17, at Homestead Steakhouse.

 

Hosted in partnership with the Roxboro Area Chamber of Commerce, the banquet celebrated companies that have gone above and beyond to protect workers and foster a strong culture of safety in the workplace.

 

North Carolina Labor Commissioner Luke Farley recognized outstanding employers and employees from the Goldsboro region at the annual Safety Awards Banquet on Wednesday, April 16. The event, hosted at Walnut Creek Country Club, was held in partnership with the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce.

 

During his keynote address, Commissioner Farley emphasized the importance of cultivating a statewide culture of workplace safety.

 

Yesterday, Labor Commissioner Luke Farley visited Spruce Pine to meet with small business owners and learn about the community’s concerns related to Helene recovery and to see, firsthand, the ongoing rebuilding process.

On Friday, Feb. 7, 2025, Labor Commissioner Luke Farley presented five awards to North Carolina farmers at the 31st Annual Gold Star Growers’ Meeting at the McKimmon Center on the campus of N.C. State University. The annual event featured an awards ceremony for growers who exceeded housing requirements as well as remarks from Labor Commissioner Luke Farley.
