Updates to 29 CFR Parts 1904, 1910, 1915 and 1926; final rule. On May 14, 2019, OSHA published the fourth phase of the Standards Improvement Project (Federal Register) to remove or revise outdated, duplicative, unnecessary, and inconsistent requirements in its safety and health standards. This action reduces regulatory burden while maintaining or enhancing worker safety and health and improving privacy protections.  The N.C. Commissioner of Labor adopted this final rule verbatim with an effective date of October 7, 2019.
