CFR 088C - Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response
On April 18, 1991, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration published corrections to the standard on hazardous waste operations and emergency response, 29 CFR 1910.120, in the Federal Register at 56 FR 15832, with an immediate effective date (April 18, 1991). A correction is made regarding the definition of "uncontrolled hazardous waste site" in paragraph (a)(3) by replacing the term "hazardous waste" with the term "hazardous substance". In addition, the clause "identified as an uncontrolled hazardous waste site by a governmental body, whether Federal, state, local or other" has been added in order to better relate to the scope of the standard. An additional correction has been made wherein the requirement has been added in paragraph (e)(9) to provide upon request a copy of a certificate of equivalent training or a copy of documentation of equivalent training. The amendment containing these corrections to the final rule at 29 CFR 1910.120 has been adopted verbatim by the Commissioner of Labor with an effective date of August 23, 1991.
