NCDOL Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) is administered through its Consultative Services Bureau of the Occupational Safety and Health Division. SHARP is available to small employers in both private sector and public sector.
SHARP is designed for small and medium-size employers that have established, implemented, and maintained exceptional workplace safety standards. The SHARP recognizes businesses that have invested superior time and effort into maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. The purpose of the SHARP is to acknowledge and celebrate a business’s commitment to the safety and health of all employees.
SHARP Annual Renewal
SHARP participants complete an Self-Evaluation Form on an annual basis. This is typically completed during February of each year with a due date of March 1. Once completed, email to dol.consultationmail@labor.nc.gov.
