This OSH Standards Notice clarifies how public sector employers can maintain the OSHA 300 logs (29 CFR 1904.46) for compliance inspections. Also reference OSH Division’s Field Operations Manual, Chapter 2—Compliance Programming for information on public sector compliance inspections and the Operational Procedure Notice: OPN 128 - Public Sector Surveys and Inspections that establishes and implements a public sector survey process and inspection program as authorized by NCGS 95-133 and 95-148 to target for inspection those public sector employers with a high rate of recordable work-related illnesses or injuries.
