CFR 173 - Updating National Consensus Standards

On September 13, 2005, federal OSHA published this final rule (Federal Register) to delete from OSHA standards three references to national consensus standards and two references to industry standards which are outdated. By eliminating the outdated references, OSHA will clarify employer obligations under the applicable standards.

The N.C. Commissioner of Labor adopted this final rule verbatim with an effective date of November 14, 2005.
