CFR 177 - Acetylene

On August 11, 2009, OSHA issued this direct final rule (Federal Register). OSHA is revising its Acetylene Standard for general industry by updating references to standards (Federal Register) published by standards developing organizations (i.e., ‘‘SDO standards’’). This rulemaking is a continuation of OSHA’s ongoing effort to update references to SDO standards used throughout its rules. On November 10, 2009, OSHA issued the confirmation of effective date after receiving no significant adverse comments regarding the direct final rule.

The N. C. Commissioner of Labor adopted this final rule verbatim with an effective date of November 12, 2009.
