STD 01-12-027 - Mechanical Power Presses and Iron Workers

This STD provides clarification for 29 CFR 1910.212 - Machine guarding, general requirements and 29 CFR 1910.217 - Mechanical Power Presses; Guidance in the recognition of the difference between iron workers and similarly configured mechanical power presses. This instruction provides guidelines to aid in the recognition of the difference between iron workers and similarly configured mechanical power presses as they are used in industry.
