STD 01-12-010 - Machine Guarding - Food Waste Disposal Equipment

This STD is to assure uniformity in the application of the subject standard to point of operation guarding on food waste disposal equipment. 29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1); Acceptability of a trimboard as a guard. Old STD number: STD 1-12.10 - Food Waste Disposal Equipment. This STD clarifies that based on actual operation, it was determined that a trimboard properly designed and mounted, provides the nip point protection and meets the intent of the standard.
