OPN 149 - Special Emphasis Program for Amputations

This Operational Procedure Notice (OPN) establishes and implements the North Carolina Department of Labor (NCDOL) Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Division’s Special Emphasis Program (SEP) for safety and health inspections where employees may be exposed to amputation hazards on machinery due to lack of guarding and/or the failure to utilize energy control procedures.
