North Carolina General Statutes (NCGS) 95-129(2) of the Act states that each employer has a responsibility to comply with the occupational safety and health standards promulgated under the Act. The specific standards and regulations are found in Title 29 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 1900. The standards are subdivided and the most specific subdivision of the standard is used for citing violations. This chapter includes basis for violations, general duty requirements, employee exposure, regulatory requirements, hazard communication, and types of violations (i.e., serious, willful, nonserious, criminal, repeat).
