CFR 147A - Occupational Exposure to Methylene Chloride
On September 22, 1998, OSHA issued a final rule amending the occupational exposure to methylene chloride standard, 29 CFR 1910.1052 (63 FR 50711-50732). This amendment provides temporary medical removal protection benefits for employees who are removed from a job or transferred to another job following a medical determination that exposure to methylene chloride (MC) may aggravate or contribute to an existing medical condition. The September 22, 1998, final rule (63 FR 50711-50732) was adopted verbatim with an effective date of October 8, 1998.
