FOM Chapter 11 - Agricultural Safety and Health Inspections

 This chapter sets forth guidelines for conducting migrant housing preoccupancy inspections, migrant housing OSH compliance inspections, field sanitation compliance inspections, and agricultural field inspections. The North Carolina Department of Labor (NCDOL), Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Division, Agricultural Safety and Health (ASH) Bureau is the agency that conducts preoccupancy inspections under the Migrant Housing Act (MHA) of North Carolina and OSH compliance inspections utilizing OSH division standards when there is employee exposure, an accident or a fatality. It includes preoccupancy inspections, abatement verifications, recognition programs (Gold Star Grower), migrant housing inspections, compliance inspections and fatality/catastrophe inspections.
