CFR 158 - Telecommunications, 29 CFR 1910.268
On June 18, 1998, federal OSHA promulgated a final rule that corrected or eliminated provisions from various standards (Federal Register). These changes were made to correct out of date, duplicative, unnecessary, or inconsistent standards. Some of the changes concern the standard on telecommunications (29 CFR 1910.268). Paragraphs (f)(2)-(f)(4) and (f)(7)-(f)(9) are deleted. In addition, paragraph (f)(1) is revised to explain that the requirements of 29 CFR 1910.137 - Electrical Protective Equipment applies to the telecommunication industry except for Table I-6. The June 18, 1998, corrections and revisions were adopted verbatim with an effective date of October 8, 1998.
