CFR 088A - Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response: Final Rule

On March 6, 1989, at 54 FR 9317, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) published the final rule of the standard for Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response, 29 CFR 1910.120, with an effective date of March 6, 1990. The final rule abolished and replaced the interim final rule which had already been in effect. On June 9, 1989, the North Carolina Department of Labor, Division of Occupational Safety and Health adopted the final rule with an effective date in North Carolina of March 6, 1990.

In addition, this state-specific standard may also apply: "Do employees respond to emergencies involving hazardous materials involving hydrocarbon fuel leaks?
