A Guide to Safety in Confined Spaces examines the rules and risks associated with working in these dangerous conditions. The booklet is divided into three sections. The first part deals with general safety practices for confined space work and the second with the requirements of the OSHA general industry permit-required confined spaces standard. A third part offers checklists to consider before entering a confined space. This guide is based on general industry regulations found in 29 CFR 1910.146.
