OSHA Instruction CPL 02-01-034 (CPL 2-1.34) “Inspection policy and procedures for OSHA’s steel erection standards for construction,” was issued March 22, 2002. In Question and Answer #32, a compliance policy was announced with respect to the column joist requirements in 29 CFR 1926.757(a)(3), with a termination date of July 18, 2003. The effective date of this enforcement policy has been extended indefinitely.

This compliance directive is Citation Guidance Related to Tree Care and Tree Removal Operations.
