Dolores Quesenberry

Dolores Quesenberry serves as the director of communications for the N.C. Department of Labor. Quesenberry oversees the department’s social media platforms, media inquiries, website content and the production of the department’s free statewide news publication, the Labor Ledger. Quesenberry also serves as the primary spokesperson for Labor Commissioner Cherie Berry on matters concerning the department.

Quesenberry began working for the N.C. Department of Labor as a public information officer in 2003. She was later appointed by Labor Commissioner Cherie Berry to serve as the communications director in 2008. Prior to joining NCDOL, Quesenberry served as the director of operations for the Justice Committee for the successful statewide re-election campaign of N.C. Supreme Court Justice Bob Orr. Quesenberry’s previous work experience also includes working as an account executive for a public relations firm in Washington, D.C., and for WKML-FM radio in Fayetteville, N.C. 

Quesenberry is a North Carolina native born in Cumberland County. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications with a minor in English from East Carolina University.
